Evening all hope someone can help me my son has drop and broken his PSP screen. The actual screen is not cracked but the picture behind the screen is just a mass of blurred colour.
Does anyone know if it can be mended and how to find out where it can be mended.
Thanks hope someone can help as I have a very upset little boy here and can't afford to buy a new one at the moment especially as it is his birthday next week and I've spent my budget on pressies and a weekend away for him.

ummmm sorry to tell you but the screen is actually cracked if its turned into mush of colour. The liquid crystals have all split and bleed into each other. The plastic cover on top is just that, a plastic cover to sit on top of the LCD display
I think you can get them fitted with a new screen but will cost £££.
Have you got home and contents insurance - i'm serious. People claim for new things like this all the time when they accidentally step on it or something. Thats what insurance is there for, no?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

I've just phoned PSP careline and was told I could pay £85 (I think) for a repair or £65 for a replacement console that is as new although has been repaired, probably just the screen like my sons so think I might go for that option but will have to wait till next week when parents come home from hols with their credit card!!!
Here is the careline number if anyone needs it 08705998877.0 -
It is possible to buy a replacement screen for the PSP and install it yourself the cost is about £20-£30 for the screen. There are turotials on the net how to do the repair and you can save a bit of money.0

Not used them myself but believe they have a decent reputation. Also a lot cheaper than Sony.

Lots of other hits if you google +psp +screen +replacement
Also lots for sale on ebay if you want to fit it yourself

If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0
