Tax and Employment Help!

I am currently a self employed tutor and just recently have the chance of more hours which I am unable to do. Can I hire someone to assist and not be responsible for their tax and would i need a contract etc?

Depends how regular it would be, in a literal sense you can just agree £x a day and they send you an invoice and you pay it, the tax is there issue.

Is its more a full time arrangement then you could still do this but they will be classed as employed and will have the rights that come with that.

I am not sure on the exact in and outs, I just know if somebody is working for you on a regular basis they can claim employment rights, I am not sure exact time limits etc.

Hopefully somebody with more info will be along soon.
