VW Polo cutting out
Hello
Wondering if anyone can advise.
Bought a W reg VW polo approx 2 months ago and after a while, it cut out a couple of times when under load, i.e. hard steering.
I had the alternator changed under warranty and all seemed fine until this morning, when i pulled in to a parking space and engine cut out again.
Called RAC out and they ran diag tests on it and couldn't find anything wrong with it. The tested alternator and battery and said they were fine. They were at a loss.
Couple of things:
1. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
2. Will I have any comeback on the garage that sold the car to me?
Adviceguide.org.uk said I should have and can go back to the garage and explain fault, but I'm just a bit worried, as there doesn't "appear" to be anything wrong with it, even though there obviously is.
Thanks in advance...

When you say "hard steering", do you mean you were going round a bend quite fast?
This may sound like a stupid question, but how much fuel was in the car when this happened?1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -
Sounds like a poor engine earth, hence the alternator not charging .Be happy...;)0

Alternator/battery were both checked to be ok - will ask garage about earthing.
It was just turning in to a bay in a car park, so nothing to fast or excessive.
Also, fuel tank of petrol.0 -
When was it serviced last?
Those V8 coal powered engine models always have issues cutting out. I would have thought the breakdown guy would have told you that.
Its the smokeless coal that causes the issue.
Or maybe the ash pan is full?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
