When we start out on the Debt-Free Wannabe trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free. .
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending. :money:

Good morning everyone, I don't post here very often but reading everyone's posts everyday always motivates me.
Today I will- Withdraw £10 spending money to last me the week for any food shopping to top up what I got on Saturday.
- B/L/D from stores
- Stay away from the shops on my lunch break, I don't have money to spend but it always gets me down when I go window shopping with no money.
- Tonight I need to try and come up with new ways of making extra money, I've ebayed everything I can think of and already registered to lots of survey sites.
- Play around with budget, have some ideas going through my head at the moment on how to cope over the next couple of months as income is likely to be less than usual

Think I may part with a gig ticket as looking at my bank balance I really can't afford the petrol to go there. This way I could buy the cd and have a cosy night in, bottle of wine and save a few quid. Seeing Fleetwood Mac next week so not as if I am not going out.
Checked quidco got a payment due on next run only 5 .70 but it all helps.
Might be cheeky and ask about neighbours apples she has loads.

Hi Team-DFW, :wave:Thanks for the starter bt1.
Had a lovely day yesterday hiking along the coast with my OH. Took coffee and biscuits with us. Ignored ice cream kiosks and other seaside temptations. Walked past coffee shops and chocolate vendor. Ditto chip shop. Ditto pizza shop. Then cooked a roast. Made packet stuffing mix go further by adding onion and apple. Pimp my stuffing! Added bramble jelly to cheap gravy granules.
Woke up at 3am feeling physically and mentally ghastly. Told myself that no-one enjoys Mondays and to get a grip!

Condensation Solution?
As the Window Condensation Season looms I just wanted to share this from last year. We do open the windows as much as possible but thats not much help when it rains so often up here. Hope this helps someone:

I have some in the bedroom just now. I just use salt in an open tupperware dish. I'm also told that cat litter will work; but I've never tried it.
Tesco are currently selling 750g of Table Salt for 29p or 350g of Coarse Sea Salt for 60p. If you want the 'real' refills they are sold in Homebase at £6.49 a shot "Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
