Morning all,
Bitsy no we have a biggish garden so we dedicate one half to fruit and veg and the other half to flowers:D I would love a small holding though.
Tru once you get the hang of it Pinterest is fab, I've had some great ideas for food and home decorating and hairstyles, all sorts really.
We had another blooming power cut last night. The field behind us has horses and apparently they keep tripping the main cable in the junction box which plunges us all into darkness for a couple of hours. Surely they could make it horse proof:eek:
Dh and ds3 have gone off to work and college so a couple of hours on my own which I enjoy. I love Mondays as we get to pick up our DGS from school. Tonight he wants to make home made pizzas but with tortillas as the base, so that should be fun and I get to catch up with dd and her love life.
My middle son has gone off for a night away with his gf so they were looking forward to that.
I'm so glad I see my consultant on Thursday about my leg. Really hoping I can have my op before Christmas.
Enjoy your Monday whatever your doing xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Good morning everyone :j
I'm soooo tired today so excuse me if this doesn't make any sense
. My brain would not switch off last night and I ended up getting up at 3.45 as I kept disturbing hubby. I'm meant to be babysitting my grandson this morning as well so I'll need a couple of matchsticks and a strong coffee :rotfl:. Hopefully he will just want to cwtch up on the sofa and watch the pig that is Peppa but knowing my luck he will be bouncing off the walls .
JackieO I've been having a think of some low fat snacks but my brain is fried. All I can think of is vegetable sticks and yoghurt based dips and maybe make some sausage rolls but using filo pastry instead of shortcrust. Sorry, not very helpful
Easy peasy dinner tonight of bacon and spinach spaghetti assuming the creme fraiche is still alright, if it's turned I shall be b**gered. Hubby will have a fray bentos pie as he can't eat dairy so he'll be delighted.
Hope everyone has a good day and as always gentle hugs for those who would like one.
Take care,
Cheers m'dears x0 -
Morning peeps

Quick one from me. Off to walk Luna shortly, got busy few hours planned. Need to find an extra present for my mums birthday, go food shopping, complete today's cleaning (house is a semi tip so will take twice a long), fit in another dog walk and some more baking before I have to go collect the kids. So if you see me hanging around on here please tell me to !!!!!! off and get stuff done
Not sure what's for tea as fasting today. Yet another area of my life that I need to organise  I have a recipe book but am yet to sit down and read it (story of my life that is).
Anyway hugs and spoons all round xx

Morning All
Very grey and dismal here today.
I have to go and pay a bill, but that won't take too long, then the plan today is for sorting out the masses of filing that seems to have accumulated in the house, then I want to get a bit more crafting done.
We had an early dinner yesterday of slowly cooked spiced roast beef done in my enamel roaster, it was melt in the mouth tender, with home grown potatoes, runner beans, carrots and cauliflower, everything seems to taste better fresh from the garden.
Then I made a coffee and walnut cake for tea time because we had a visit from the outlaws in the afternoon which was nice.
TTFTM I hope that work isn't too stressful and maybe you may get a few answers today as to what management are doing.
DD has an interview for another job on Wednesday so her boss had to phone the area manager to let him know that she was having time off to go, the area manager told him to offer her a permanent full time contract (currently zero hour contract) with a pay rise
which has left her not knowing what to do, still it shows that she is appreciated.
((((((Hugs)))))) to all the poorlies.

Good Morning!
thanks for all the good wishes etc. So much for saying I'd post more regularly! have been trying to do a bit too much and paid the price by needing lots more rest and sleep! Am looking forward to appt on Friday for histology results from the tumour, plus finding when I can eat normally ( although I guess it'll always be much smaller portions!) Plus drive! I really miss being able to just go out and about when and where i want! Have lost a stone and a half in the three weeks since the surgery! Was told that people pay thousand s for stomach reducing surgery - and I had it for free! Still, probably not ideal way to slim......
Hubbie has (i hope!) enough marmalade left for two more breakfasts so need to get the frozen seville oranges out of the freezer and make another batch tomorrow - would do it today but he's working and I need sugar and lemons - and can't go and get them! Grrrh!
Enjoyed Downton last evening - good to have it back again.
Oh well, better find some gentle hw to get on with!
Hope you all have a good day today. (HUGS) where needed!Resolution:

Morning all,
We had a better night's sleep last night as DH was symptom free and the "ladies" were quieter. I think a couple of neighbours with small children had a word or two as well.
That glow on the horizon is my halo, as I got my backside in gear and have filled the oven with a big beef casserole and a roasting chook. I think that covers this week's dinners as I rubber the chook for 3 days and the casserole will do two plus a couple of helpings for DH in work. There's space in the freezer so it should work if I get it in quick before DH snacks on half the chicken.
Jackie - Quark is low calorie and there are lots of recipes, also virtually fat free crème fraiche is adaptable - add garlic powder and it is great as a dip with crudities.
It's cold and grey here, so I'll iron this afternoon.
Have a great day all xI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Morning all,
I'm ashamed to say ive not long got up. I am awake all night but as soon as hubby leaves for work I go into a coma. My daughter has asked me to have Grandbaby on Friday night, at least i'll be used to staying awake overnight.
Well I had a little play last night but I need an idiots guide too. I have to say it took me months to figure out Facebook and Twitter... well lets not go there eh? I'm trying to work out Instagram at the moment.... one thing at a time I think for me.:oDidn't get much time to check out Pinterest , however I can't see how to pin things , is there an idiots guide ?
Usual Monday household chores for me today. Chicken for tea tonight I think. I'd best get motivated.

Hello all.
I must get back to the old style way. I've slipped off the wagon a wee bit.
We have moved so money has been slipping through our fingers like sand.
Back into proper menu planning. Went to asda yesterday & Aldi this morning.
Need to get a job as well. Youngest has started school. He is autistic & he's not settling too well. He's ok when I pick him up, but I hate leaving him crying & looking bewildered.
Jackie, low fat dips, bread sticks & veg sticks for your party. Also a fruit salad would be nice & refreshing.
All the best all

Morning mrs MortenHarket😄..... Another one who hasn't been here for a while.
Noah is now 10 and in Y6 and finding it difficult even with his full time one to one. For those who don't know me he has autism, Tourette's, PDA and sensory processing disorder. Looking at schools for secondary next year as he will need specialist provision school.
DH and I are in the swing of it now with Asher Alice who is now 24 weeks and gorgeous, teething at the mo so not much peace to be had.
Today so far I have shipped at local village shops, made a chicken, mushroom and tarragon lasagne with left over chicken from roast, made an onion boule, 2 lots of washing, cleaned kitchen, made 2 blackberry charlottes.
Ashers bottles all made up.
Going to have lunch and watch an episode of Greys Anatomy from boxed set I'm working through.
Then do some yoga with Asher. We have started going to yoga class weekly and I'm looking at doing some yoga qualifications.... Also looking at an MA in autism so can't do both ..... Hmmm.
Looking Cut down on choc and treats for last 3 weeks and have lost half a stone ... Another half to go and I'll have lost the stone I put on with Asher... Almost back in size 10:-)
Then it's school run and homework and ironing to clear.
Planning to snuggle and watch DVD with DH once littlies are in bed.
Loving autumn arriving and dark nights to snuggle.0 -
