Last minute UK hotels

Just wondering if there is anyone with success stories of getting a discounted hotel room in UK by phoning up the day of staying and seeing if they have any last minute rooms they want to fill up?

it's possible, but hotels normally sell cheap rates further out so on the day most wont budge from the daily rate..
  • Yeah when ive phoned last min they tend to think you need to stay therefore is usually a bit expensive. Have had more luck emailing in advance asking about any deals/offers.
  • Yup...like the others said.....book early for the FAB deals.

Think about it, why would any successful business actively encourage and reward late booking?????
