Fitting solar film,

I,m fitting solar reflective film to my conservatory windows. It seems a neater job if I take the plastic window rebates off first then refit once the film is on. Is there any reason why I shouldn't do it this way?

yes your window pane could fall out or you could move the shims that centralise it, plus if you don't have the correct tools to do this you could cause damage

Thanks, I realize that , I meant is there a problem with the film being behind the trims. Ta

None that I can think of other than that beading is a bar steward to remove

I used the other approach with my conservatory and cut the pieces to size (leaving 5mm all around) before fitting.
