  • 2 o'clock in the morning and I can't sleep. Money. who'd have thought it could cause so much trouble.

Paid another £200 of the loan. seems silly having it only earning 0.75% Just got decided if I take another £1000 out and pay off then resave:think:

My debt always keeps me from getting to sleep. That is how I found this forum!

Thanks don't think it helps that I work night's so sleeping at night is hit and miss anyway. These debts seem so much worse in the dark at 2am:(
  • Got an email at work a few weeks ago. It said that we can get 20% of out mobile phone bills so finally got round to sending the letter today. Also when I rang them they said they could back date it so if they do that's about £100 but will wait and see. even if they don't back date it it's still £5.20 off a month:j
  • Online banking has updated and loan now stands at £11569.51. going to log on and pay off the 51p lol.

pay day today and they are not taking a payment for my loan this month so £605 overpayment made . New total now £10,921
  • Hi all.

Really can't work out what's happened. after my overpayment thought my total should be 10921 however after checking it's still £10,964. Have no idea what's happened.

    I know it's only £40 but:mad::mad::mad:
  • I'm back and hanging my head :(.

Been a bad week ( well actually very good) spent loads off money :mad:.

have used my emergency fund/ savings pot 2. It started last thurs by deciding to treat myself to something I've wanted for ages (should have been less than £30 so not to bad) however that wasn't in stock so ended up spending £130 on practically the same thing:mad::mad:.

Then as i'd withdrawn £200 (not paying on the card anymore trying to use cash so I can see where it's going) well now the £70 has gone and I have no idea where.

Then the car insurance renewal came (was expecting this) so took the first payment from the fund (had planned on doing this anyway) so that's another £50 gone. Then I kind of thought what the hell and ordered my nieces xmas present goodbye another £50 only some wasn't available only so then a trip to the town just over from us and spending another £30 on books and stocking fillers for her and something for my sister and her new boyfriend.:mad:

so to today I've paid £1000 from the account of off my loan as it's not earning any interest in the account and will save ( according to the snowball calculator) £350 in interest.

so all in all a rubbish week and i'm back to get a kick up the b*m and get back in the mse way:money:
  • I always find it so easy to justify spending money when it's on gifts for other people and then I get into a spendy spiral so I feel your pain.

Chin up! There's always time to jump back on the money saving wagon, right?
    Credit Card: £3500
Borrowed from parents: £2650 (was £3250)

just paid another £1 to the debt. At least have hit target of being below £10,000 by xmas:j
Can't make any more overpayments for a few days as have no idea what else has to come off of the card (have got a bit lost) this is the reason I stopped using the card for day to day spend as and try to just use cash
