Need Help Organising a Craft Fair

Hi
I'm helping some friends organising a small craft fair to raise funds for a not-for-profit organisation and would need some advice please:
1. Designing a poster
Where can I find a simple template to design a poster?
2. Donations for tombola prizes
Is Freecycle any good for asking for donations? How do you normally approach local businesses to request a donation? Is it better to get the manager's name and write a letter to them or arrange to go and see them in person?
3. Costume jewellery items to sell
What kind of costume jewellery items sell well (eg earrings, bracelets, childrens jewellery, etc) and what price range would you recommend?
Thanks in advance!

1. if you google free poster templates should find you one you like.
2, for donations for tombolla prizes first try family and friends, freecycle and facebook. I have found the personal approach to local small businesses works best, people dont like to say NO to your face.
3. Childrens jewellery usually goes very well, keep it cheap , 50p to 1.00. You can get some bargain kids beads on Ebay an make bracelets. I you can get to a carboot there are usually loads of old necklaces to be had for around 50p break these down to make earrings, findings again on ebay are cheap. Go for glass beads instead of plastic as these are more popular (and classy) if you can get them.
Also for anyone organising a fair I would
suggest contacting local groups such as Brownies, girlguides , ladies groups etc and offer a stall, you can ask between 5-10 pounds depending on area.
Good luck with your projext.Slimming World at target0 -

Hi Meg72
Thanks a lot for your suggestions for the craft fair and apologies for the late reply.
I've had quite a lot of donations for tombola prizes from friends and work colleagues, which will help us a lot!
Although I won't be having a stall because of lack of time to make jewellery, I have a friend who will. I mentioned your post to her and she has already started making simple and cheap childrens jewellery.
Many thanks once again for your ideas and wishes.
