Hard Drive failure; help getting bits of info from system

Day before yesterday one of the drives in my PC failed catastrophically. Murphy's law it's the only drive that would cause much problem by dying, and without any warning at all. Recovery is going to cost me £200+ (ominous clicking noise suggests it's the read head has died), but that's another problem.
I've replaced the drive and now need to set a few folders back up as they were before. Most I can get from the settings in the programs that were using them; but I had set up some symbolic links from the C: drive to point to somewhere with more space (programs which won't allow default folders to be changed, then decide to dump GB of into into them even though they're on a 60G SSD).
Anyhow, my question is where (in the registry presumably) do I look to find the precise details of said links? I can't remember for certain exactly which folders I linked from/to (that'd be too easy, wouldn't it!).
Any help appreciated.

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.
