I am currently with sky on their broadband package and my contract is about to end so im thinking of going back to talktalk after years of good service.
I have checked their website and I can now get the fibre broadband.
My question is will an engineer need to come to my home to install anything or change anything on my phone socket etc? How does this all work?
Cheers

BT Open reach man will visit, fit a new VDSL faceplate to your master socket and install a fibre modem. He will connect this to your ISP supplied new router and set it all up to a single PC. Down the road he will connect your copper pair to the local fttc cabinet.
Sky do fibre too, why do you think you need the extra speed? That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

Better off going with someone other than Sky broadband because their offers are better. I tried getting Sky's half price offer but I couldn't as I already had broadband. So Talk Talk or Virgin have good offers on at the moment. You need 2 weeks to cancel Sky's phone and broadband, so when you organise your engineer date to activate it, make sure you don't cancel your Sky broadband before this or you'll be without internet until it's installed.0

Fibre broadband is certainly worth it unless you're a "browse and emails" only internet user. HD youtube, HD iplayer, Fast internet gaming and a lightning fast browsing experience. I paid £30/month from BT and it was well worth it.0

Yes it's a bit slow as I live near the burnt out node @ Blisworth. I usually get about 200000 Mbps :beer:0
