  • Best to weigh your cases before you go to the airport!

  • Crikey, where the hell were you going to that required 90kg of luggage between 3 people; the moon?!!

Sorry OP, I don't have much sympathy. When travelling low cost (or any airline really, but especially low cost), the rules on baggage allowances are pretty clear. If you had properly followed these rules and made sure your bag was within weight, you'd have had no problems.

As for un-packing and re-packing bags at check-in; this is a massive PITA for other passengers, who have followed the rules but are subsequently forced to wait longer at check-in queues because of people like you, when they could be having a drink/shopping/getting some work done.

Follow the rules next time eh, then you won't have any issues!
Remember Occam's Razor - the simplest explanation is usually the right one. :)

    32 and mortgage-free :D
  • They could take the £24 off and charge a £25 hold up other passengers at check in fee.
Some people think the whole world revolves just around them.

Can't be, the Apollo astronauts weren't allowed personal luggage :)
Space shuttle astronauts were allowed a massive 1.5lbs in a tiny bag

Seriously though, turning up at the airport for a low cost flight with overweight bags is asking for trouble.
The Jet2 staff need to get everyone processed ASAP so sending your bags down the belt was the right thing to do.
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.
