Seller won't refund. Ebay ruled not in favour. Any options left?

@zzzLazyDaisy The difficulty is that he advertised it as fitting my exact model, and it didn't so how could I check a falsely claimed model number? other than fitting it myself at which point it clips in near-irretrievably and then I can't paint it which was the point.
@RFW Yes I just painted the primed surface silver to match the car no go faster stripes!
Thanks again everyone for your comments. Just one to chalk up for future experience I think.0 -
They have part numbers imprinted in to them. Not difficult to check that they matchThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Now, you may say I should have checked first but once these things clip on to the car they are a total b*gger to get off again and on first impressions the unit is the right shape, just the little connectors and in completely the wrong place. I have since bought the right part from a Peugeot garage, and the guy on the parts desk confirmed that the ebay one was useless. In fact he went further to say that gluing it on would be dangerous e.g. to passers by when the vehicle was moving at speed which I kind of agree with.
Could you not have checked the connectors before placing it on? No idea what the part is like or anything, but usually with a lot of things you can see connections on things or place parts partially on, enough to check they'll fit but still get them off again.
Anyway, others have already answered the question lol. Was just a thought.0 -

I bought a BMW wing mirror a while back from a same year car as mine, and it turned out the fitting was different and the electrical connector too.
I don't think that the seller could have known.
(In my case, fortunately I was able to make up one right from the two, with a bit of effort.)0 -
So your old mirror broke. Didn't you know about the 7 years of bad luck?
