Renault Kangoo axle weights

My van failed its light goods test, one of the reasons being the examiner could not read the axle weights on the sticker located on the drivers door pillar.

A new one from a dealer will cost £60 but if I can find out the weights I can print a dymo label and stick it on!
So if any of you nice people have or have access to a 2003 Kangoo 1.5 dci can you please tell me what it says on the sticker for Axle 1 and Axle 2

TIA
Dave

Find one for sale local to you and have a nosey?

Will the examiner really accept a dymo sticky label?

Thanks for that, the examiner said it would be fine as the VIN is still legible.

You posted in my thread about where to sell my Kangoo. I had a look and mine doesn't have any axle weight info there. Sorry.

    TIA

What was the reason for failure on the failure certificate?

I work for a large local authority all technicians are MOT inspectors (20+) and are authorised to test all classes with the exceptions of motorcycles and three wheelers

I have asked three authorised examiner and the QC (quality controller) they all state that it is not a failure if the axle weights are illegible / missing

The procedure is to enter the registration number into the brake tester, this will search the database for the axle weights, if the weights are not available you manually enter the weights that are given by the rolling road

    Hope this helps

Thanks Steve, I eventually found the info and have printed out a dymo label and stuck it on the door pillar.

I am in Northern Ireland and therefore vehicles are tested in DVLNI centres who seem to operate differently from the rest of the UK!

If you are interested I can scan the fail notice for you?

I will let you know the outcome of the £18.50 retest

    Thanks for the update

Assumed you were in the mainland UK not NI

As an aside what is the charge for an MOT in NI and when is it first required

Here in the UK maximum price is £54.85 and on a small car / van is required three years after first registration

Yes I think NI is coming in to line with the rest of the UK at least as far as HGV vehicles and O Licensing goes

Ahem! I think you meant to say in Great Britain there. ;)

An easy slip to make, as I see in the next sentence you correctly say the rest of the UK.

Some of my relatives in/from Norn Iron get a bit uppity about it.

Won't it mention it in the owners manual somewhere?

Failing that, it might be easier to drop Renault an email.
