Ooh, good idea
I do love her recipes. Got most of those ingredients in too. If it keeps well I could at least get the cake done tonight then just ice tomorrow. Cheers hun

Actually have had quite an exciting morningWent to an appointment with OH. He's finally agreed to join a project locally for injured serving/ex serving personnel. It's a fab project, they have a community garden and lots of stuff going on with that.
He's agreed to attend for 6 weeks initially to help with a project they're starting soon. Making planters for local war memorials.....he's quite handy so it's right up his street. And finally he will be having some contact with the outside world again!!
BIG step and Im Sooo pleased
Thats brilliant news:j
I saw a programme on c5 a few weeks ago where ex service men changed an unused scrap of land into allotments for ex service men. They defined each one by making them raised beds and planted bushes one side to protect from wind. Inbetween was nicely gravelled and looked like a cottage garden in a stately home. There was a row of sheds at one end and a summer house which acted as a social area with kettles ect. Would have really made a difference to many..
Think your oh will find it strange at first but I am sure there will be a ban on service talk (which I am sure he prefers to avoid). Sure with your area most small talk will be fishing which he will enjoy.
Your oh will be making fun of your self made potting bench before you know it:)

If you see the reduced ones I would buy, they are good for teaching them how to hold the pencil correctly, but maybe he does that naturally anyway? DS2 has really poor pencil control and if he uses a normal one he tends to hold it in a sort of fist like grip. These remind him how to grip properly. It writing is still very poor but every little helps!
Thanks for that.
The ballet exercises make me laugh - he points his toes out and keeps his heels together and says "crocodile smile" then puts his feet together and says "crocodile snap, what did you catch?".. it is adorable.:D I'll remind him of it when he's 18 and too cool to talk to me :rotfl:Tiger

Need to decide what to bake for Friday. I'm having a little coffee morning for Macmillan. Mostly other mummies and babies coming. Probably just do some cupcakes, flapjacks and crispie cakes
