Hiya Logie. I went to a friends bake on Sat for it and made these..
http://www.thepinkwhisk.co.uk/2012/05/carrot-cake.html
They are soooo easy to do but look impressive. and they keep in the fridge for ages if wrapped in clingfilm- i've eaten 3 todayand they were made Fri  but they are so moist and lovely still. be warned though, to make the carrots and coloured icing, put washing up gloves on when using the the colouring. My OH came home late Fri night (with a friend) to find me rolling icing wearing rubber gloves. Rock and roll eh?! :rotfl:
Ooh, good ideaI do love her recipes. Got most of those ingredients in too. If it keeps well I could at least get the cake done tonight then just ice tomorrow. Cheers hun

Not that there is anything wrong with ballet (!) but it wouldn't be my choice. Picked his ballet shoes up from reception this morning. when i told my good old northern (and old fashioned) dad, he nearly spluttered his tea out :rotfl: Think he imagined billy elliott
Aww bless him with ballet, I think it's sweet. Very good excercise!
If you see the reduced ones I would buy, they are good for teaching them how to hold the pencil correctly, but maybe he does that naturally anyway? DS2 has really poor pencil control and if he uses a normal one he tends to hold it in a sort of fist like grip. These remind him how to grip properly. It writing is still very poor but every little helps!0
