One Teacher training day I took DD1 and her friend for a treat of hot chocolate and a cake at a local coffee shop. They were prob about 11 or 12 and I thought it would be an ideal opportunity for them to be a little bit independant, and gave them a bit of money to spend in the Clares shop near by, while I waited in the cafe. They got stopped by the 'WAG' man and returned to me . I got interrogated, a lecture and a pink slip! The girls still think it is funny now and they are both at uni!:eek:

Just back from T they had large 1.3kg bottles of Heinz Tomato Sauce for £1.50 were £3.50 don't know if this is national, but may be worth a check.
