I've just signed out and back in again and it's disappeared off the multi buy on MSM now.

    So a dodgy one.

You need to cover in black plastic to get those weeds to die down. We had to do that to our allotment, cover most of it and work on a small patch at a time. Otherwise you cannot keep up.

Just to add it cost us about £40 for a roll of heavy guage plastic from a builders merchant. Was worth every penny.

Thanks TS. That's the plan. Quite a bit of ground uncovered (no pun) so far, the good weather has helped. Shallots and onions are in now. :D

Good idea about the builders' merchant. It is £2.35 per LM for 3.3m wide at the 'allotment' shop. Will compare the prices. Was going to put 'Roundup' down first as lots of bindweed. At present, amongst the weeds etc are some rhubarb, goseberries, strawberries and leeks. The raspberries go along the frontage approx 10m x 2m. Lots of weeds inbetween hence why I asked about cutting them down. Silly to try to weed them now if they have to be cut back in a few months time. Have discovered muscles that I didn't know existed.

For me it's on MSM :)

MSL not showing too much except lots of BJ's and Biccies.

Strange product line ... I didn't know they sold those, but with As and Ts if there is money to be made they no doubt will go for the more adult lines ... how do they compare on prices :D

I thought it may have been because I'm in Scotland but I'm happy to test it. OH loves Carte Noire and it still works out a decent price when it compares to Sains.

    Good morning everyone

I see what you mean about the weight now. Re the teething gel, I forgot that was actually subbed with Bonjella which would have been £2.48.

Congrats to all of you MKS, especially mum after all she went through :j

The mince is comparing @ £4.74 each vs Sains and n/a against Tosco. I have 39 meats on .com but only 34 on MSM. Another one missing is chicken fillets which somebody also reported on here. I'm struggling to find meat that's comparible between either of the supermarkets.

    Thanks Tweets.

We still have a bit of bindweed but as long as you keep pulling the shoots it does get less and less. Very easy to get rid of lots of the roots when you cover in plastic as they all come to the surface. ;)

We grow organically so I'm afraid "Roundup" is a swear word in out house. We don't use weed killer or slug pellets. We do use value beer to catch slugs in traps occasionally but hunting them early evening is the best. I leave that job to Mr TS. :o
