Just caught up on thread and just wanted to say for those who find themselves having miscalculated their shopping and coming up too short to use an APG, their bags for life at 6p on the end of the tills are very useful. I've even been known to let them scan one I carry round with me incase of 'emergencies' like this as sometimes they have no bags left.
I find its better to get charged for a bag or two that can't be supplied than have to have a supervisor called because you've fallen short a few pence of using your APG and the till throws a wobbly along with the cashier!
Thanks for that. I had forgotten bout those bags for life. Its handy for when you are a few pence short. I tend to get a chewing gum. Or in some cases, there are some nice SA's who will load some money onto a shopping card for you. So I get to my last APG and they say, that will be 9.05 and my apg is for 9.50 - I simply ask them to reload my christmas shopping card with 45.pence. and bingo.

    :pHappy Bunny:p
Life is like a pipe and I'm a tiny penny rolling up the walls inside.

  • I managed order no 191 on the Kettle Chips :D

Funny thing is I think the number changed, first time I looked at it it said 189, then I saw movement out of the corner of my eye and it was 191 :eek::eek:

I only remembered at about 9.20, thought I might as well give it a go and it let me do it - order number 819!! Bit strange as they were apparently only giving 200 away... My sister did it a couple of minutes later and got order number 829, so might be worth a try if anyone thought they had missed out! I took a screenshot just in case they don't turn up :p

I bought m'lovely wife some super sexy bras & pants a few times, yes I knew the right size to buy plus I knew her tastes!

Plus other stuff as well! Skirts, boob toobs, cardies!

OK that's a lie - I never bought her anything like that because I am just a bloke.

We don't do stuff like that. :D

I lied now that I come to think of it :D my OH did come home once years ago with a pair of army boots in my size. He handed me the box and said 'here, got you these' I asked why and he said 'they were free':rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

To be fair, I liked them :o:D
