Awww! what we go through & see has kids usually carries with us through life...... I have never smoked, I have 6 kids, Ive drummed it into my kids not to smoke because they could get cancer, I have told them my mum had cancer & died of lung cancer at the age of 51 I was 11 years old at the time, & it still hurts loosing her through smoking, my dad the got copd through smoking & he too died through being a smoker, my nana too passed due to cancer through smoking, so as you can understand I have drummed it into them, My husband has always said if he ever sees them smoke at whatever age he will smack it out of their hand....I cant blame him, Im so against smoking, so many of my family have passed through smoking, & at about £8.00 a packet, disgusting price!.... wish there was a magic wand to wave abover smokers heads to stop them from craving a ciggie!.......Xx :A :A :A

Just back, and just catching up on todays posts as best I can.
You sure summed it up there about how things stay with us from when we are kids kadiekaismummi. Hugs to you for all your losses too. I have always lived in a smoke free zone, and my DS has been brought up like yours. What you said has just reminded me about something that happened last year.

My Mum was in hospital then too, but it was for radio and chemo. treatment. When I took my DS to visit, he was nearly 15, there were 3 or 4 people standing in PJ's, just outside the door puffing away (in a no-smoking anywhere including grounds hospital!)...... Well I can't put into words how nuts he went that he had to walk passed them. I took him to the nearest security guard, which was better than him letting rip to the people himself, which he actually started to do! My DS 'made' the security guard go and tell them that they 'shouldn't stand there and smoke when there are people in the hospital being treated for cancer as it just wasn't fair'. Yes, they were his words! I'm very proud that I think he's become more of an anti smoker than even I am!

OK, who else is going to join Squills for Stoptober, even if he is on a different mission.

Hate it when you see them outside maternity with a large bump, little nighty and slippers puffing away

Thanks to the person who mentioned A own brand mandarin gateau scanning at 25p.....new stock in mine.....sell by june 14.
We now have gateaux and beer for the wedding breakfast, lol.

Looked today and none in stock..... not suprised with a 25p SEL above!
Did get the larger forest fruits one though, £2 on box, £1 SEL and scanned at that, fab bargain. Didn't have time to wait the 3 hours to defrost, so sliced what was wanted and was ready to eat in about half hour. It was yummy.

From same shop. A vs M

    0.51 x ASDA Braeburn Apples per kg £1.11 £0.81
    3 x ASDA British Semi Skimmed Milk 4 Pints (2.27L) £3.00 £3.00
    2 x Princes 100% Pure Orange Juice from Concentrate (1... £2.00 £1.50
    1 x Golden Wonder Cheese & Onion Crisps (6x25g) £1.48 £1.00

I think there's a trigger available on these, if anyone wants to swap one of the juices. Buy 1 Princes Orange Juice with either 1 Princes Pomegranate Juice OR 1 Princes Cranberry Juice 2 for £2 but APG £1.58 vs 75p.

....:oI guess I should say "Good evening"!:):)

  • Can anyone explain why t's charge me a seperate £2 everytime I place a delivery or c+c order. I use a mastercard debit card.
I have asked them by pm on fb.
I don't pay to use this card instore so surely they shouldnt be charging me for online shop.

I know that they ask your bank for a small amount to check the card is working, but it is only ever "reserved" rather than taken and should revert back to normal within a few days.
Has the £2 charge actually come out of your account and not been refunded? That shouldn't happen.

    It's only a game
