I could be wrong, but I'm sure you can order and pay for stuff listed on boots.com in their stores. If that's the case you can pay for your pn-line only products using your gift card. Used to be that you couldn't pay with points on-line so people used to go in store to do that aswell.0

Sounds like you were given the brush off by Boots...."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Did you get a full refund on the gift card? If so I would take it and run.
Boots only have to provide a repair or replacement udner the SOGA. If it cannot be repaired and they don't want to replace it then they coudl offer you a aprtial refund to take into account 1.5 years use - so basically they coudl have given you a very small refund.
If you have gotten a full refund then you should be counting yourself lucky.0 -

Unfortunately you can't use the gift card at all online.maninthestreet wrote: »Sounds like you were given the brush off by Boots....
Could you elaborate please? Your statement is at odds with the other advice given here.Did you get a full refund on the gift card? If so I would take it and run.

Yeah full refund.
Thanks all. Gonna add an update to the original post.0 -
When you were issued the giftcard did they keep your purchase receipt or the toothbrush? If not you can go to the manufacturer to have the warranty honoured.0

As it happens, a full refund has worked out quite well as we've replaced the old one with a much better model. I'll remember this in future though, cheers.I think you missed the joke.
I think it's very cruel to expect someone to understand sarcasm at the weekend :beer:0 -

Quite impressed with how Boots have been. As stated by some of the comments, it appears they weren't obliged to give a full refund, but did so anyway (on a giftcard as stated).
We called a closer store today to see if the toothbrush we wanted was in stock. It wasn't, but they seemed equally baffled as to why you can't spend gift cards on the website, so we've arranged for them to order the item in. They'll honour both the online price and the 10% online discount. We're going there now to pay in store with the gift card.
Boots = 10/10
Well done Boots, that's clearly above and beyond the call of duty. Great to see :-)0
