Hi All,
Anyone any experience of Medion PCs, specifically the 2.8GHz one Kwik Save were doing for £399 a few weeks back, our local one still has a few of these and we were looking to buying a second back-up PC.
From the quick look in-store you get a 2.8GHz Celeron, 17'' CRT monitor, CD-RW/DVD Rom combo, 80Gb Hark Disk (I think!), and a few other bits.
Not as good as the one from Aldi I know, but we just need a cheapish complete PC, £750 without a monitor is just too much for the Aldi machine for what we need it for, even if it is good value!
Plan is then to get a wireless router for the broadband modem, and a card for the new machine, so both can go online.
Cheers
Steve

I think you'll find the Dell deals better - a machine like the one you describe was about £250 inc vat and delivery and £350 with a flat screen about a week ago. The Aldi PC is superb, but only if you are going to use all the goodies with it. If like most other people you're only going to surf the net, send an e-mail and write a few letters, the cheaper PCs will do the job.0

I thought dell might have better offers, just wanted someone else to agree!
Also a TFT would be a lot better than a CRT for a second PC anyway, as we want it take up as little room as possible downstairs. To be honest, even this PC is a bit OTT, as almost all this is used for now is web/email/MSE and earning cash through rpoints and the like! Still, at least this way it pays for itself!
Cheers
