Confusion led to wrong Tesco voucher category

My wife saw a dress she liked for our granddaughter in Tesco. She picked it up and went to where she could exchange a £5 voucher for a £10 slip. As she had found the dress in with all the baby items she asked for 'Baby' voucher, but when it came to checkout time it would not work. She should have asked for a clothing voucher instead. The frustration is that despite the misunderstanding, there is no way apparently to change the voucher either back to £5 or to another category.
Ultimately it is my wife's mistake, but a bit of flexibility would be nice.

Baby items as in clothing, or baby items as in nappies ??Wins in 2013 - Jan - Heinz No Noise Ketchup.0

Why didn't she ask what category CLOTHES would come under instead of assuming?0

The baby clothes were all together in a section with other baby stuff, so she found it confusing. To her, clothes were all the children and adult items grouped together elsewhere. The frustration is not so much that the category didn't include baby clothes but more with the fact that the voucher could not be changed through some admin procedure.
This post is an expression of frustration rather than a vent.0
