Radiator spacing from wall

Hi
I hope there are some plumbers out there who can help me with this.
I'm having an extension done and today the radiators were fitted.
The guy doing the plumbing had laid the pipework before the concrete floor was put down and when he came to fit the rads found that the pipes weren't wide enough so had to dig out some concrete and lengthen the pipework.
I've just been out to look at it now the radiators are on the wall and find that they are hard up against the wall - no space at all between the wall and radiator.
I suspect the pipes should have been moved out from the wall too, but he just couldn't be bothered. Will having rads hard up against the wall cause problems with the plasterwork? I would have thought you should have a space to allow the air to circulate. Am I worrying about nothing?

The distance from the wall is dictated by the brackets. If the brackets have been sunk into the wall further than flush with the rest of the wall, then the distance will be incorrect. If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!0

most rads come with a long & short side to the brackets, single rads should have the longest side (the bit the rad hangs on) facing out, double rads have the shorter side facing outI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
Thanks for your replies.
Unfortunately the rads are too close to the wall to see any brackets. I guess I'll have to ask what's going on when he comes back on Monday!0 -
But do bracket projections vary or is there a standard projection?
And is my plasterwork at risk of drying ou too much and falling off the wall?0 -
I'll put money on the brackets being fitted before the plastering was done. If so complain to your builder/PM.

You need the radiators taken down to see exactly what has been done. You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0
