Newbie scooter driver - tips please

As this is your first scooter/bike I would recommend getting a used one. Until you've ridden one for a while you probably won't know what you want. I got bored of 125cc very quickly (especially on dual carriageways) but it depends on what sort of roads you are going to ride on as to what bike is best for you.
Invest in some training, pass you test and then invest in some more training.
Buy gear that stands out in the dark and in poor weather.
Ride defensively - assume people haven't seen you.

Buy a shoei Hemet
Don't. As said. Try a lot of them, find one that fits you and is comfy. My uncle loved Shoei, I don't like them as I don't feel like I am wearing it properly.
You don't want to be worried about the most important piece of kit you will buy so comfot is everything. If that turns out to be a Shoei v Arai v Shark etc then so be it.What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -
