I have a £6k overdraft with Natwest which I don't use; so far it's still there. They haven't made any noises about removing it, but I wouldn't be bothered if they did; it's been in place for a decade or so.

Accept a lower overdraft and keep a credit card available for emergencies.
  • Odds are, if ypur own bank wont give you it noone else will. As above, if your not using it then it will be taken from you. £3650 is a huge overdraft and a potential problem for the bank. If your on an average salary of £25,000 then your taking home £1600ish, so that OD is more than double a monthly salary. Obviously you may be on more, but if you are then you shouldnt really need a huge OD.

Get a CC with a bigger limit if needs much. The bank is being responsible and removing access to credit that your dont need (in their eyes) and never use.
