Had to remove System Mechanic. Cleaned out all my protected cookies, which meant signing in to all my regular sites, eBay etc.

Be very carefull with this software. It's ruined my PC, I'm not a novice user. When I ran the 'comprihensive Total care' part of the software, its corrupted my Windows XP, so had to reinstalled again, very irritating.
Seems to run ok if the comprihensive total care isn't ran.

Thanks for this icefall, installed it last night and now my comp starts up in 3 mins as opposed to the usual 8/9. Restarted 3 times cos it fascinates me - I need a life!:rotfl:

Like most things...this does not work with Windows Vista

    Strange?
When you click on Download Now, ensure you override any pop-up blocker
Select Save, not Run when the dialogue box appears
Read the General terms and conditions before downloading, and note that we do not provide any technical assistance or support whatsoever
We strongly recommend you back-up any important files on your computer and that you set a System Restore point (for Windows XP or Vista users) before installing the software

    Excellent find.

I use the pro version and have used it for years.

Just make sure that you do a sys restore point before use but also, do one after trying out the cleaned up version of your PC.
