...for all they know at this stage before they have investigated you could be the defrauding party
they won't think that if you walk into a branch and hand them the cards. you don't need to know about the person who the cards are intended for. you do need to know that they are not allowing someone else to be registered at your address, applying for credit, or in any way altering your credit file.0 -
What are you expecting them to do? Send the cards back and I'd expect there will be no more sent to you. Most likely an error when entering address as mentioned previously.0

On behalf of your honesty and to alleviate any fears of ID Theft I would suggest that Barclays should offer to pay for your Statutory Credit File from all 3 Credit Reference Agencies.
This little episode could have cost both of you a few bob. Especially Barclays.
Why not put this to them?0 -
I very much doubt Barclays will shell out £6 without a formal complaint. They'll say its beyond their control or something like that.0

I have tried returning them, but so far we have had 2 cards, 2 pins, 2 statements listing what is in the accounts, 2 cheque books and 2 pin generators ! Everything seems to have a different PO box number, so I doubt they are going back to the same place.0 -

I sometimes get mail intended for my neighbours. My house is number 2, but I get mail for No 12 and No 20 where a digit has been missed from the correct address.
Is it worth checking the electoral register for your street to see if the cards are intended for one of your neighbours? You should be able to view the electoral roll at a library. Easier still would be to check directory enquiries online at bt.com (although the name you need might not be listed)
If it's a genuine error involving one of your neighbours they should thank you for bringing it to their attention.0
