Had my interview :)

So not been in work for some time due to bringing up the kids and studying. I applied for various jobs I saw advertised and got a interview at Debenhams (it was actually a recruitment event where we had to do various tasks then a 1:1 interview at the end). The tasks went well (I think) but there were 11 other people so alot of compettition. I was first to be called for the interview, not sure if thats a good sign or not. I think I answered everything ok, just got to wait 7-10 working days for the outcome....so glad its over lol

Fingers crossed for you teabag, I hope they come back with a job offer for you soon. Good on you for going along and giving it a go :)
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.
  • Hope it goes well, it's so nerve wracking waiting to hear!

don't read anything into being called first or last for 1to1 interview - will most probably be random!
    Fingers crossed for you!

Well I got some good and bad news.... I got a call from Debenhams to day and they offered me a hob yay, thats the good nws. The bad news is it isn't the permananet job I applied for its just a xmas temp dealing with stock 20 hrs per week till end of December (but a chance of permanent) but atleast this gets me back into some work and gets something on my cv and someone to put down as a reference. So pleased :)

Thanks for the update Teabag, and well done!!!!!

Hopefully you'll shine like a superstar and they'll be only too happy to keep you on. And if not, well, at least you have something recent to out on your CV, you'll have gained confidence and you'll have extra money for christmas.

    Enjoy!

Excellent news. It could be that nobody has been offered a permanent job, they'll pick that person from whoever impresses them over the course of the run up to Christmas - good luck with it being you.
