bbm for android

I read that BBM is available from today to download for Android so I went to the Play Store and there are dozens of apps listed!
Most/all are obviously fake and some are even listed as being developed by 'Blackberry Inc.'

I have no idea if they are malicious or just ad-infested to make money for the developers but does anyone know how I can tell which is the real one?

    its taking forever to set up too. It took my son 36 hours to get his pin. Ive set mine up on my phone too but its been 24 hours and no email.

    If I give people my bbm is there any way they can find out my phone number as I intend to give it to people I don't know that well.

    why do you want them to be able to contact you then ?

    Old school friends on Facebook. Great to keep in touch but also need to keep a certain amount of distance. Nothing sinister behind it.

    It's a good App to keep in contact but I think it's just another hype which in a few weeks it will be forgotten!

    I'm quite happy to use Whatsapp 90% of the time because my kids use it and we converse a lot through it as well as send pictures to eachother but its useful to have for people who you don't really want to give your phone number to.
