So.... the guidline for fuel is £155?? Impossible!

I must say, Conor has a point, but maybe Onit's job is specialist. Find it hard to believe you can't find rent within the price range of what you pay in fuel - but hey, I'm sure you know what your doing.BCSC Member 70:j

How about renting outside of london? I'm in hertfordshire and from here it takes 20 mins on the train into central london. You would get a very nice place and train fares for less than the amount you are paying in petrol.:A

Thanks for your comments.
I was working and living in London, made redundant twice and now due to my current debt situation it is impossible... hence back at the folks and going BR to start over.
Barking mad I am not... happy with my job I am.
My main concern is my how the fuel looks on the SOA not a general consensus of where I should be living and working.
Cheers @ Richard

Of course! Just bear in mind the OR may ask similar questions to the ones we've asked. I have heard of one guy who was made to move home because it was cheaper than his fuel costs.

Not very good at all. The thing is, after banking, you're not going to have anywhere near the same level of outgoings as you;ll not have any loan/credit repayments so I strongly suspect you'll be told that £155 a week in fuel allowance to travel to work simply isn't going to happen.
OK...lets have an alternative look at this.
You're currently paying out £155 a week to spend 20hrs a week travelling to a job that pays nowhere near what you need to earn to pay your debts.
Despite doing all of this, you're still looking to declare bankruptcy.
AND THE CRUNCH. If you're killing yourself travelling to a job that doesn't meet your outgoings and you're declaring, why don't you find a job more locally that'll meet your living expenses POST bankruptcy? You're banking so it doesn't matter a toss if you make any more payments to creditors between now and the BR date. In fact any payments made to them is just money down the drain.
The lower outgoings mean you can find work somewhere closer to home. There's no point trying to keep on working in London spending £155 and half a working week to get there if the end result is that the Official Receiver puts an order on your wages which takes the extra money you'll earn.0 -
I am now BR and looking forward to the OR interview next week...
