Negotiating Quote for Conservatory

Options
We've had our first quote out of three for a conservatory we plan on having built before Christmas. We're not particularly keen on this company as they seem to contract all/most of the work out, however, the conservatory is as follows:

4.5x3m Edwardian Style conservatory with polycarb roof
Dwarf wall
High wall to one side where the fence is (with 3 x opening windows at the top)
Opening windows above every panel
3 x stainless steel double gang sockets
Ceiling fan/light
Switch for light and switch for fan
All walls, including back wall of house plasterboarded and skimmed
Ceramic Floor Tiles up to £15/sqm

Price has come in at £10,900 inc vat

Is this a good price for the work above? As this is their first quote, I'm reluctant to just agree to it without any haggling.

Comments

  • More or less spot on, one thing you could try is asking for a glass roof for the quoted price, much better than PC.
