Hi All, hopefully someone can advise here. I purchased a car stereo from a web site on the internet, from fitting it there are 2 faults with it that make it unuseable, this is from new, i have called and spoken to the manufacturer who confirmed that the product was faulty and would need to be sent back to who i purchased it from, i spoke to the company i had it from via e-mail they said they were happy to have it back and give me a replacement or a refund, i want a refund. The question is they wont refund my postage costs to do this, should they ? its faulty from new ?
Thanks
Thanks

Maybe go back to manufacturer and point out difficulties with supplier. The manufacturer might not be happy about how their goods are being handled once sent to supplier. Manufacturer has acknowledged a genuine problem. However supplier to you has a duty of care surely about goods sold to you? Maybe wrong on this one. Not sure of legal position here. But hopefully you then can go back to supplier who has admitted difficulties and get full refund plus postage? The supplier should then take up with manufacturer if supplied with faulty goods and customers not satisfied and should I would think seek some recompense.
Sorry you are having a problem.

Thanks, I have already sent another e-mail off to the place i had it from saying that as it was new and it has 2 faults from new i dont feel i should pay to return it, its quite heavy and will cost £7 or so to post back. I have asked them to give me a call tomorrow about it. See what they say if they dont agree i will call the manufacturer again and see what they say, but i know from working myself in business that the buck lies with the person who sells the goods. Will post reply tomorrow, when i hopefully know more.
