My ipad2 finds my router in work but I cant get any signal or internet, my iphone has no problem nor my laptop and the ipad works ok on my home wireless. Any suggestions please.

This used to be ok and used to connect automatically up until a couple of weeks ago.

Is you iPhone a work one and your iPad a personal one?

Has your work changed it's network setup or security?

Or, for a quick check, go into the network settings on your ipad, choose the work network, then choose "forget this network". That will delete all the settings for it, you can then try to reconnect to it again.
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

They are both mine, I'm at home now and they are both connecting ok to my network but later hen I go to work my iPhone will connect automatically but my ipad won't even if I forget the network and then rejoin using the password which is correct. Others use this network but it is in my office and no one else has access to it to, it just seems to have stopped working on my ipad. My ipad finds it but it won't connect to it.

Go into 'Setting', 'General', 'Reset' & click on 'Reset Network Setting'

It will reset all you're Network setting after a reboot; you'll have to re-enter you're WiFi Network Password (if you have one set) but it should all be ok then.....

  • Have you tried only your ipad trying to use (connect to) it?....just in case the other devices are blocking your ipad frequency etc in some way?
  • Yes, I turned the laptop and iphone off but its no different. Its really frustrating since I don't get this problem at home even with 3/4 phones, an xbox, 2 TV's and a computer all connected wirelessly.

  • What is the error message when you cannot connect on the ipad? Also, have you reset the office router just in case it is blocking something, somehow? Have you tried resetting the iPad?
