Made me smile - halifax insurance silly department name

currently renewing contents & buildings insurance. Horrible quote from Halifax so shopped around, I can get better cover for £250 cheaper with Greenbee. Anyway thought I would try haggling with halifax. Called and said I wanted a better price so I was put through to . . the "insurance Options" department. :rotfl: What a silly name for a department, it is not as if I have any options just that they can maybe do something for the customer. Customer retentions with a mobile company at least does what it says on the tin.

Needless to say Halifax couldn't get within £150 of the other quote so will be leaving them shortly.

Wonder what other companies call their departments? Might make for an intersting post but not sure which board to go for? Any suggestions?

Just had my quote through from LV for renewal...£40 ish more expensive than if I go through their website as a "new customer"!

Great, innit?? £40 extra because I have been loyal and haven't made any ckaims!
