Supercat!

We have a small tortoiseshell cat. Everyone who sees her asks if she is fully grown as she is tiny. However, today she had the heart of a lion.

She has a friend, a black and white cat, and an enemy who is a black cat. The black cat is very vicious and has injured her badly several times. He hides in the garden and waits to attack her. He is about twice her size and she is scared of him.

Today she was relaxing on the living room floor when the sound of a cat fight in the garden could be heard. She shot up and bolted out of the open window. Black cat had attacked black and white cat and pinned him to the floor. Our cat raced over and with a flying leap and a WWF smack-down style punch attacked the black cat. She fought him off the black and white cat so that black and white cat could get away. She then chased black cat out of the garden as I watched open-mouthed from the window.

I am making her a cape to wear for when she goes out tomorrow.

When she flew out of the window was it a kind of psycho-ninja type of move?.....i have a tortie...sounds like yours has found her feet....and inner lion.
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.

She has the true Tortie-Temper for sure!
Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree! :D
  • Aww what a star she is
Maybe you could invest in a Super Soaker high power water pistol and use this to douse the nasty cat if it dares to show itself again. They soon learn to keep out of the way after a couple of soakings....and it does not actually hurt them, the only wound is to the pride!

    Wow, superkitty!

And water spray with naughty cats and dogs - brilliant! My bold boys behave as soon as I lift the spray bottle.

  • She did get an extra treat afterwards as soon as she came back in the house. I am still amazed at what she did.

The black cat really is awful. He used to wait in a bush outside the back door for hours until she came out. I cut the bush down to stop him doing this.

We have had to treat facial injuries several times and he also took a chunk out of her tail. He once chased her out of the garden and away. I saw him, but could not stop him. We finally found her after five days a few miles away very dirty and hungry.

We have tried to water thing, but it does not stop him. He just keeps coming back. I once dumped the entire contents of a large watering can on him and he didn't even run away just sauntered, soaking wet out of the garden.

I once had a washing-up bowl full of water I had filled to top-up the bird bath. As I was going across the front garden he appeared and I though right you sod. I chased him down the drive and just before I threw the water on him I looked up to see a funeral cortège pulling into the village church opposite me! Imagine a demented women blonde hair flying in the wind carrying a washing-up bowl chasing an angry black cat down the driveway! I veered off at the last minutes and watered a tree instead.
  • Your first post really made me smile at the end of an awful day, thanks for sharing :)
With any luck, black cat will be so shaken up from today, he won't bother her again. A bit like when bullies get their comeuppance when the bullied fight back.
Looking forward to hearing about tortie and black and whites first date after she was his hero today :)
