invoicing software

can anyone recommend some (free) software, mac 1st and pc 2nd choice.

we have created a small magazine and need to invoice up to 20 different people on a monthly basis, some are changing ad size dependant on time of year,so price changes whilst others get a discount for longer period bookings. we wish to email out, VAT is not an issue. would like something that altered invoice number as you opened and saved, along with auto date feature.

we have created a basic module but there is so much to alter each month we wish to find a time saving method. funds are limited so free is the best, but could stretch to buying something if it was going to work. so a demo version might be good to.

You can scan and send out as pdf file if you plan to email

Or just write it out directly in an email

open office + dopdf.

Setup a template(s) with standard text and use the today function for the date. Once done go to print selct dopdf and it outputs a nice pdf file for email if you wish.

Its exactly what I do (well I use excel as I get it cheap).
