Do Vodafone do a credit search if you add a second phone to your account?

Hi all,

maybe not the right forum, but it was a bit of a toss up on where to put this. Does anybody know if Vodafone do a credit search if you add a second phone to an existing account?

We're in the middle of getting a mortgage, but my wife's phone contract is nearly at an end and we were considering avoiding a credit search by adding a second phone to my account.

They didnt when I added another phone. Doubt they'd turn down extra revenue from an existing customer either.

They didn't with me either. It showed as one account too.

From memory its an internal decision based on how you've managed your account up until now. At one point i had 3 lines with them and i think that was their limit for me. Nothing came up on my credit report when i added the other 2. I think they can tell you whether you're eligible just from glancing your account

You will automatically qualify for a 2nd line as long as you have paid your last 3 bills on time. Any extra lines will involve a longer check of your payment history and possibly a credit check depending how long you have been with Vodafone
