Default date change

I wonder if anyone can help me. I recently tried to improve my credit rating and looked at my report on the reference agencies.
It turned out that a company called Mkdp Llp changed the default date on an old debt to 2009 instead of 2005 and were chasing me!
After reading this forum I managed to send them some letters and the outcome was that they would not be pursuing this debt and marked it as 'settled'.
The problem is that they have not changed the default date back, so although it has slightly improved my rating it still has a negative effect because it is still on there!
Any advice very much appreciated.

Tell them to change the date back, otherwise you will be reporting them to the ICO and FOS.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Complaint, in writing signed for. No joy after 8 weeks refer to FOS.
Will cost them the referral fee, so might fix it before than.
Worth mentioning this in the latter and that you will be reporting them to the OFT unless its fixed sharpish.:beer:0
