Change of address on bank account

My mum sadly passed away a few weeks ago. Myself and my 2 sisters are joint beneficiaries of her estate but she nominated her solicitor as the executor.
Mum and I had a joint account as she had been in and out of hospital recently. I had a text today from the bank where the account is held telling me that the address on the account has been changed as instructed.
I have not instructed them to change the address so I'm thinking that the solicitor has done this. My concern is that he asked for my address so he could write to me and I gave him the address where I reside during term time (i work at a residential school). My 'permanent' address ie where all my official documents are registered is in the neighbouring county. I opened the joint account with this address as well. Is this likely to cause problems in the future? I don't have any bills or anything in my name at my term time address so am concerned that i would not have any provable ID if the bank asked for it.
The text didn't give a contact number for me to respond and its difficult for me to make phone calls during the working day. I'm not sure whether to just leave it or whether I'm storing up problems for later on.
I would appreciate any advice - thanks

If it is a joint account it is not part of your mothers estate therefore it should not be something that the solicitor has anything to do with.
The bank should not take instructions to change your address from anyone other than you.
On presentation of the death certificate the bank should make the account a sole account in your name.
I would contact the bank and ask what is happening.

Most banks helplines are open well beyond the 'normal working day' hours. Your best bet is to call them straight away.
