Combined utility and WC

We're in the process of having some work done to our 1960s house which currently has a very large downstairs loo (approx 1.7m x 1.7m). I'd like to have a utility room and OH has suggested combining it with the WC seeing as it is quite a big room.

I'm a bit reluctant as I don't like the thought of having them together. So just wondering if it puts other people off, and has anyone managed to combine the two successfully?

thanks
mto

May look a bit odd to buyers if you foresee ever selling up but 1.7m isn't that big so by the time you've framed in the WC you'll have two teeny, tiny rooms.
