garden fencing

Removal of about 6' x 60' of old panel fencing, disposal, replace with featheredge fencing on aris beams in concrete pillars with concrete gravel beams. ~£1300, fair?

Sounds a bit expensive to me...You could by the kit yourself from wickes for about £450-£500, he'll be getting around a 40% trade reduction on that price from a fencing supplier. Probably half a day ripping out the old fence and disposal. A day for digging and setting out. 2 maybe 3 days fitting and half a day finishing off and clearing site.

He's probably based his labour on £200 a day for 5 days and £300 materials, most sub contract labour I employ are generally happy with £150 a day I would contact your fencer and say you were looking at having it done for £1050 cash. See what he says.

    Hope this helps.
