Hi all
I have an appointment with the citizens advice bureau on tuesday. They have asked me to detail my income / expenditure
Just wondered if I just put my normal household bills down or if I have to put in the monthly amounts I have to pay my creditors too
Any help would be appreciated

If you are considering a DRO then I would complete the income & expenditure as it would be during the DRO, ie not including any payments to creditors.
But I'd also take along details of how much you have been paying to your creditors each month.
When you say normal household bills, don't forget to budget for essential living costs that don't occur each month (budget 1/12 of the annual cost for these items).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

Hi
Just following on
The CAB adviser (and any other adviser for that matter) should look to explain and apply the Common Financial Statement (CFS) expenditure guidelines in the event of a Debt Relief Order being considered as an option.

Useful Citizens Advice DRO guide and information link below

Try to take in as much information as possible on your overall circumstances to your CAB appointment.
Just to mention that the CFS guideline figures are different to the Stepchange guideline expenditure figures, they are much more generous in some areas.
There are moves by the Money Advice Service to 'harmonise' the two sets of figures I hear.
Should be interesting as is a 2013 Stepchange budget review document that has very recently and kindly been passed to us.
Best Wishes and hope everything turns out OK for you.0 -

- back to the o/p, remember to include reasonable costs not basic costs, for instance nothing wrong with £500 for housekeeping for a couple.
Perhaps you want to share your cost ideas with us?

Hi
I have it in front of me while I type, just having a look through, some interesting stuff already, just looking at the clothing allowances:)
I am not sure if it is publicly available on the internet yet, think it was aired at the EMMAG meeting in Nottingham a week or so ago however and sent round a touch.
Maybe the Stepchange posters on here can 'step in' somewhere on this one and update us all?
