Can anyone advise if the following quote sounds reasonable;
I live in a victorian conversion first floor flat and have a small leak into my living room. Apparently I need to replace some lead flashing which was previously fitted badly and falling away in one section with new 9" code4 lead flashing. This would be screwed into place with a bell bead to secure. A parapet wall would then need to be rendered (sand/cement mix) and treated with patination oil. All of this would cost about 2K including about £600's worth of scaffolding, allowing 5 days to complete the job.
Naively I assumed some flashing could be fixed and replaced by, simply, a professional going up a ladder...a one day job?
Does the above quote sound true and genuine? Would appreciate any thoughts regarding this.
