Tenant requesting discount: Boiler broken

  • "I have repeatedly asked them if I should get a new boiler, to be told no."

I am also confused by this line above ^^^... You are free to install a new boiler, and can indeed use anyone you like to do it: it does not have to be British Gas.

Sorry for the confusion...At each engineer visit, I asked the engineer if he recommended I get a new boiler as I was more than prepared to do that if it meant the problem would be resolved. Each engineer said it wasn't necessary.

Obviously, I would like to avoid the cost of a new boiler if possible and took their advice.

It does seem like the boiler is now in full working order and the latest visit was user not product fault.

    Thanks again for contributions :D

The reputation of BG is that they take any opportunity to condemn boilers when that isn't strictly necessary, so where a BG engineer isn't condemning a boiler, I'd tend to go with what they say!
