Morning all!
Dull and dreich here, and there's a mountain of washing thanks to DS cleaning his room! Original plan for today was housework, but had an emergency blitz yesterday as my cousin was coming to visit, so other than the washing and going to the bank have no plans, I think I will go for a manicure as my nails are a mess!
Right, better move and pay the window cleaner.
Hugs, busiscoming!
Have a good day all.RIP Iain

Morning all,
a bit brighter here today so the WM is on.
I have bitten the bullet and am being ruthless in the wardrobe - the 6 year old nighties are in the recycling
The telescope arrived and I have to assemble it today - that will be interesting as I don't feel very technical.
Time for a cuppa I think xI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
See, I told you I was better off not making plans, I've sorted out my food cupboard, lentil mountain anyone? I also have 6 bags of long grain rice, still we'll soon work our way through it all.
I may vacuum, I may not, I need to go shopping, hubby is out of painkillers & I'm out of cheap shower gel to top up the handwash bottles.
I may have a mooch round the charity shops as I've dropped to a size 14 and don't have anything warm that fits.

Morning all,
despite having to get up twice for the dog I got up bright and early. Hubby has gone off to work and son has gone out for the day. Friday is his day off and he likes to cram as much of his social life into the long weekend.:)
Hubby left a trail of mud behind him when he left for work this morning. I'm not amused. All it would have took was a bit of thought and putting his work boots on in the hall instead of the kitchen and treading it through.
Ive been in the garden pulling up a few weeds and doing a bit of a general tidy up. I met a frog round by the greenhouse and he nearly scared me half to death.
Booked my appointment to see my GP next Friday. I finally got through the red tape to get my new access ID, and ive got to see the doctor I want.
I'm sweating buckets here. Hubby told me off for switching the heating on and off so its on now and its staying on. Pity i'm going to have to open a window though..... Still, he's paying.:D
Not much to add really, except maybe that I put my plain white cotton duvet cover on inside out yesterday.... Sod it, hubby hasn't noticed the seams on the outside so its staying inside out.:rotfl:
Beef for tea tonight, and sugar snap peas.... Oh a question for you. How do you cook spinach? If its good enough for popeye... I might try it out on my men.:)
Talking about men, hubby has put himself on a multi vitamin with added Ginseng...Maybe he wont need the spinach after all.:o

Hi:wave:
I haven't been around for ages, but we've slipped back into random spending habits and we need to reign it in.
We don't need to spend like this. We've not even got anything to show for it. We're just wasting money on random little bits, here, there and everywhere and it's getting ridiculous.
So I'm back. So far this morning we've made two loaves in the bread maker to freeze, made some onion soup and put a pork casserole in the SC. The cupboards and freezer are well stocked, and the bills are paid, but apart from that we've got about £20 to spend for the next fortnight. That's for milk, diesel, and to be honest, I can't think of anything else that HAS to be bought this fortnight. It's DD2's Bday in 3 weeks, but we get some more money before then, so I can spend some of that on her.
I've got knitting to do this afternoon, so that should keep me occupied and Hubby can watch his Aussie Rules.
Hugs to everyone who wants them.+++ Divide By Cucumber Error. Please Reinstall Universe And Reboot +++

Good afternoon everybody,
Time for a quick post as Lyla is asleep but we having a visitor shortly.Done my shop at Mr s this morning and picked up a half price Ken wood food processor to replace the one my late MIL bought me in the 80's :rotfl:which has done sterling work and does actually still work but the jug bit is all crazed now and not very hygienic.I had to go back in store as luckily I checked my receipt and it wasnt half price, they were all labelled wrong, the one I picked up wasnt in the offer:mad: but I got a slightly different model instead.
Just had hm turkey broth for my dinner.
Judi,my DH & DS2 cant seem to grasp the idea that workboots have clumps of mud on them either .
Lyla is off for her 2nd jab at the vets later, apart from that not much else going on.We have signed up for 2 open viewing days that our EA is running, ones a week on Sunday, goodness knows how I'll keep the house tidy with pup shredding any paper in sight :rotfl:but its worth a go.
Hope you all have good weekends if I don't get back on x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Back from the shops, got hubby's painkillers and a large bottle of shower gel for 89p, put petrol in the car and now I'm worn out and will have a snooze til hubby needs picking up.

Afternoon all,
Been out and about with hubby today and then called at Aldi for the food shopping. I love Aldi I'm a total convert. Dh has been looking for some new work boots and didn't want to spend a fortune. We've just got a cracking pair, just what he needed for £12.99 so that's my bargain of the day:D
Youngest DS is just off to work for the evening, he is a bit pooped but normally he will he just work Saturday and Sunday day so I've told him to think of the money. I'm hoping he's making the most of his free periods at college to study.
Tea tonight, fish and salad and then snuggle on the sofa with dh and a bottle of wine.
I'm also planning a nice hot bath and some Ibrufen gel on my poorly leg, usually helps me sleep better.

Podiatry clinic still not happy, the new podiatrist that I saw today let it slip that the left toe had ulcerated  and that is why they are keeping a close eye on me
I have to wear a padding over the dressings to prevent any more damage and go back in another two weeks.
This year really has been carp for me health wise, I can't remember having a year like it apart from when DD and DS were born:(:(:(
I had to go and get some new dressings from the chemist, so I met DD for lunch which cheered me up a bit.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
