i found myself with a trojan last night
WIN32:VBSTAT-C[trj]
i ran a number of various programs, and I HOPE AND PREY its gone
so far tonight (touch wood) no warnings have come on :j :T :j :T
however after running spybot a number of times a toolbar problem has come up
Smitfraud-C.Toolbar888 has come on spybot everytime i run it
can any one point me in the right direction to lose it
and i suppose this is why i am getting a number of popup gaming web sites all of a sudden

have you tried the msconfig method
click on start
then RUN
type MSCONFIG and click on OK
click on the Boot.ini Tab and tick the safeboot option
then click on Apply
a box will tell you you need to reboot, allow itEx forum ambassador
