iOS upgrade on an iPad2

I've downloaded it, didn't have any problems. There are some changes that I like - apps appear clearer, screen appears bigger, I'm sure there are other things that I havn't yet discovered. Then there are some that I think have regressed. Notes has become plain white background rather than yellow, so has Contacts and the whole user interface is very bland. There are also some things that just take some getting used to like anything new. I suppose it will be a bit like the maps fiasco in IOS 6.1 , if enough people complain about it, Apple will rework it in the next update.:smileyhea A SMILE COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING0

I will pass on updating it until my mother updates hers accidentally and makes me try and fix it on the iphone. although I will probably recommend to avoid doing it till the next one comes out with any bug fixes.
I dont know if i'll do my ipad 2, but will do my mini again when it comes out next time.0 -

Any issues like lagging or higher battery drain? Do all your apps work OK? Do you like the new UI, some have said it looks a bit "Early Learning Centre".
It does seem like it's a lottery whether you get any issues or not, which is usual for Apple updates.
No issues with lagging or screen flicker. I don't think there's an issue with battery drain - give me a few days to be able to comment on that.
All apps I've tried so far work (but I don't play lots of games on it)
Some parts of the UI seem like they are designed to tempt children and teenagers away from other brands, but other parts, such as the slide up control panel, are pretty good.
I don't normally update operating systems the week they come out - force if habit from working with windows since 3.1, bu I thought I'd try the update this time. Quite happy that I did.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0
