Uploading photos to Twitter from S2 (Android)

This has turned into a major annoyance.
Twitter rejects any photo over a certain size.
I've set my phone camera to a half decent resolution and the photos are too large.
Android 4.1.2 doesn't have any built in share or resize function in the galleries.
Up until recently I had a free photo editor with a share function and that auto resized the photo and worked well. That stopped working today. So I've got another photo editor which seems to do the job but that has advertising on it which I'd rather not have.
Is there a more efficient way to upload the photos?
