I need to repair a small section of 22mm copper pipe on my central heating. The bit I need to replace is about an inch.
Would I get away with using a 22mm isolation vale to do the repair?
Any help would be great.
Thanks

Unnecessary valves shouldn't be inserted into heating circuits as they can affect flow and safety if in the wrong place
IF and only if the pipe is in an exposed position you could try this>>>http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/22mm-COMPRESSION-BURST-PIPE-REPAIR-SLIP-COUPLING-/171054871596
a burst pipe joint which is a slip fit so you wont have a problem with fitting
remembering that you will have to drain down and refill the heating.
BUT as always IF IN DOUBT get a PROFFESIONAL

Thanks for the reply.
It will have to be 2 x 22m compression fittings and a piece of 22mm pipe.
Its annoying that the repair pipe you mention is not something I can get from usual plumbing outlets.0 -
I make it 1 fitting and a length of pipe in the simplest cases - you go back to the nearest or most convenient joint on either side. Although I accept you would have other issues if the joints are soldered or there is a bend or the joint is inaccessiblepricebeater wrote: »Thanks for the reply.

What plumbers merchant worth his salt doesn't a) carry or b) can't get slip couplings? Oh - Sorry - I see - perhaps you mean DIY sheds.pricebeater wrote: »Thanks for the reply.
